SERVICES: DRILL DATA

INROCK®'s DrilData™ is setting the HDD industry standard for rig data and drilling performance monitoring and recording.

The key to successful project completion is information. DrilData™ monitors and records virtually every relevant drilling parameter. This compact, HDD specific system, can be mounted easily to the operator's station. User friendly HDD hardware coupled with INROCK®'s powerful, proprietary HDD DRILLVIEW® bore planning and performance tracking software puts performance enhancing information at your fingertips.

Standard system components include:

  • J-Box
  • Carriage Sensor
  • Proximity Stroke Counters
  • Hydraulic Hose Assemblies
  • Field Replaceable Electronic Data Cabling
  • Touch-Screen Control Computer
  • Wireless keyboard
  • Power Supply
  • Optional Pit Volume Sensors (available upon request)

DrilData™ uses pre-installed sensors packages that monitor all parameters and relay this information real time to the in-cab, touch-screen computer for operator's benefit. The operator can therefore monitor any and all parameters simultaneously.

Standard monitoring parameters include:

  • Force on Bit
  • Depth Tracking
  • Carriage Position
  • Rate of Penetration (ROP)
  • Thrust/Pullback Forces
  • Mud-Pump Volume
  • Mud-Pump Pressure
  • Mud-Pump Strokes per minute (SPM)
  • Rotary Torque
  • Spindle RPM
  • Clamp Pressure
  • Custom features and configurations (available upon request)

Audible alarm functions can be pre-set to desired values to automatically inform the driller of such issues as mud circulation, thrust/pullback force, rotary torque values, etc.

This allows for the operator to concentrate on drilling tasks without overlooking established safety parameters on drilling requirements.

DrilData™ systems are designed to automatically push all data collected to a password-protected website. This feature can be set to one minute intervals to allow for almost real time viewing. Data can also be viewed remotely via satellite uplink and is automatically recorded and saved for a later interview.

Using proprietary software developed by INROCK®, DrilData™ can be correlate pilot-hole drilling data with subsequent renaming passes. The results are displayed in an easy to follow line graph with values plotted based on an average joint length of 30 feet and time of joint completion. Operators can anticipate problems or trouble spots based on this information allowing for greater tooling life, project predictability and overall profitability.

DrilData™ gives users the ability to increase competiveness by allowing for historical data to be used for future project analysis and greater accuracy in the bidding process. With your ever growing proprietary archive of drilling data you can step ahead of the competition on any job; Coast-to-Coast or Internationally.
